Stephanie L. Schoolcraft
Motivated and Ambitious
Stephanie is originally from Canton, Ohio. She began her legal career as an Associate with Painter & Westfall, LLC. While working there she represented clients in domestic, criminal, estate planning and general litigation matters. Stephanie received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in May 2013 from Capital University Law School and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November 2013. Stephanie received a Civil Litigation concentration with her degree.
During law school, Stephanie gained practical legal experience in a variety of ways. She was a member of the National Moot Court Team, served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Norah McCann King, and worked as a legal intern for the Ohio Department of Public Safety. Stephanie also practiced as a licensed legal intern with Capital University Law School’s Legal Clinic, representing clients in various criminal defense, business planning, estate planning, as well as child custody matters. Stephanie received the CALI Award for Excellence in her Evidence class, was on Dean’s List, and upon graduation was inducted into Capital University Law School’s Order of the Curia.
Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Capital University in 2010. During her undergraduate studies, Stephanie worked as a pre-school teacher, served as a page editor for the college newspaper, and tutored elementary school students in math and reading.
On the Personal Side
Stephanie enjoys being physically active in her spare time. In high school she was a state-recognized volleyball player. She is also an avid reader, Ticket-to-Ride traveler, trivia player, and enjoys trips to Florida whenever possible.
Energy and persistence is what makes Stephanie a good team player.
